As part of its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives under the Bijahan mining project, Mahanadi Mines & Minerals Pvt. Ltd. organized a free eye check-up camp for residents of Bijahan village in Sundargarh district on Wednesday.
The camp aimed to enhance access to essential healthcare services for the local community. A total of 60 villagers received comprehensive eye examinations conducted by qualified medical professionals. The screenings focused on early detection and management of various vision-related conditions, contributing to improved ocular health in the region.
With the latest camp, the company’s eye care initiative has now benefited over 200 villagers. Those diagnosed with vision impairments will receive free prescription spectacles in the coming weeks.
Earlier this month, similar camps were successfully held in the villages of Bhograkachhar, Jharpalam, and Girisima. These sustained efforts reflect Mahanadi Mines & Minerals’ commitment to improving the well-being of communities in and around its operational areas.
Residents from all four villages expressed heartfelt gratitude for the company’s proactive approach to community healthcare. The initiative stands as a testament to the meaningful and lasting impact of the company’s CSR programs in addressing vital healthcare needs in rural areas.
