Manoj Bajpayee joins Nand Ghar movement to nourish India’s future generations

Mumbai, May 02, 2024 (TBB Bureau): Renowned actor Manoj Bajpayee has teamed up with Nand Ghar, a transformative initiative aimed at revolutionizing 14 lakh anganwadis across India, in unveiling a national movement titled “Agar Bachpan Se Poocha Khaana Khaya, Toh Desh Ka Kal Banaya” (If asked as a child, did you eat? Then you shaped the future of the nation). The movement, spearheaded by Nand Ghar, strives to foster holistic healthcare, quality nutrition, and top-tier preschool education for children nationwide.

Anil Agarwal, Chairman of Vedanta, warmly welcomed Manoj Bajpayee’s involvement in this initiative, emphasizing the project’s overarching goal of nurturing children and women’s well-being through a comprehensive focus on health and nutrition. “Project Nand Ghar is a national movement that supports the overall well-being of children and women with a focus on health and nutrition. We are delighted that Manoj Bajpayee ji has extended his support to this growing movement. His personal life story deeply resonates with Nand Ghar’s cause to nourish and transform the lives of our future generations,” said Agarwal.

In an emotionally charged campaign launch, Manoj Bajpayee recounted his struggles as a young theatre actor, highlighting the pivotal role played by friends in ensuring he had regular, nutritious meals while pursuing his acting aspirations. Bajpayee underscored the vital link between adequate nutrition and the pursuit of dreams, urging individuals to contribute to Nand Ghar’s cause through donations, volunteering, or partnership.

Expressing his enthusiasm for collaborating with Nand Ghar, Manoj Bajpayee emphasized the critical importance of initiatives like Project Nand Ghar in providing children with proper nutrition, hope, and opportunities for a brighter future. He called upon all stakeholders to unite in nurturing children’s potential and collectively shaping a brighter India.

Joshi highlighted the significance of leveraging the experiences of notable individuals who have overcome nutritional hurdles in their journeys.

Nand Ghar, the flagship project of the Anil Agarwal Foundation (AAF), has made significant strides in combatting malnutrition and enhancing preschoolers’ attendance across 14 states in India. Notably, AAF introduced multi-millet nutri bars, distributed to 50,000 children between 3-6 years in Varanasi, enriching their daily nutrient intake and reducing absenteeism.
