Bhubaneswar, August 29, 2024 (TBB Bureau): Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) has been conferred with the prestigious Biju Patnaik Sports Award for 2023 for its outstanding contribution to the promotion of sports and games.
NALCO Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Sridhar Patra received the award on behalf of the company from Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, at a special function held on Thursday on the occasion of National Sports Day at the Convention Centre, Lok Seva Bhawan, in Bhubaneswar.
NALCO has been a strong advocate for sports, consistently supporting sportspersons, events, and infrastructure development. Upon receiving the award, Sridhar Patra expressed his gratitude, stating, “We are honored and inspired to continue supporting and fostering sports and related activities in the state and nation. Receiving the Biju Patnaik Sports Award will further strengthen our dedication to the sporting community.”
