Ranchi, July 21, 2024 (TBB Bureau): In a heartening gesture aimed at empowering visually challenged students, NTPC Coal Mining Headquarters, Ranchi, in collaboration with the Swayamsiddha Ladies Club, has donated two state-of-the-art desktop computers to St. Michael Blind School. The initiative, undertaken as part of their CSR efforts, seeks to enhance computer skills among young and specially challenged individuals.
During a special programme at the school, Rekha Jain, President of NTPC Swayamsiddha Ladies Club, personally delivered the computers to Sarita Talal, Principal of St. Michael Blind School. The event was attended by esteemed members of the Ladies Club, who expressed their commitment to supporting educational opportunities for visually impaired children.
The newly installed computers are equipped with cutting-edge software and voice command functionalities tailored for the visually impaired, ensuring an inclusive learning environment. Students eagerly welcomed the technology, highlighting its potential to accelerate their computer literacy in today’s digital age.
