Bongaigaon, May 21, 2024 (TBB Bureau): In a commendable effort to support education and community welfare, NTPC Bongaigaon, in collaboration with the Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club (BSLC), distributed 60 desks and benches to five local schools. This initiative, led by Bindu Namboothiri, President of BSLC, aims to improve the learning environment for students by providing necessary infrastructure.
The schools benefiting from this donation include Salakati MES, Bamun Bakhara MES, BTPS High School, 814 Chedamari LPS, and 507 No. Ranighuli LPS. The distribution took place in the presence of school principals, representatives from NTPC Bongaigaon’s HR and CSR departments, and members of the ladies club. This collaborative effort underscores the commitment of NTPC Bongaigaon and BSLC to fostering educational excellence and community development.
In addition to the school furniture donation, Bindu Namboothiri led a program organized by BSLC where certificates were awarded to 30 women from nearby villages who are participating in sewing and tailoring classes. This initiative, facilitated by the Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club, is part of a broader effort to empower women and enhance skill development in the community.
