NTPC Bongaigaon, in collaboration with the District Administration, organized an Awareness Program on effective ash utilization on March 6, 2025. The event brought together stakeholders from Kokrajhar and the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) to explore sustainable practices in ash management.
Masanda M Pertin, District Commissioner, emphasized the importance of sustainable practices and the role of ash utilization in regional development. She praised NTPC Bongaigaon’s eco-friendly initiatives and encouraged stakeholders to adopt these practices for a greener future.
Arnab Maitra, Head of Project, NTPC Bongaigaon, highlighted the company’s efforts in ash utilization and urged collaboration to maximize its potential. He spoke about NTPC’s achievements in substantial ash utilization and its applications in construction and infrastructure.
The program featured a presentation by the Ash Utilization Team, showcasing the benefits of ash in manufacturing bricks, cement, and road construction. Participants learned about its strength, durability, and environmental advantages.
The interactive session allowed stakeholders to discuss technical aspects, market potential, and logistics. The program concluded with a vote of thanks, reinforcing NTPC Bongaigaon’s commitment to sustainable development.
