NTPC Bongaigaon hosts Professional Circle Meet 2025, showcasing innovation and collaboration across stations

In a vibrant celebration of innovation, collaboration, and grassroots excellence, NTPC Bongaigaon successfully hosted the NTPC Professional Circle Meet 2025 on Friday, drawing participation from 16 cross-functional teams representing various NTPC stations across the country.

The convention was inaugurated by A. K. Jadli, Director (HR), NTPC Limited, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his keynote address, Shri Jadli emphasized NTPC’s unwavering commitment to its people-first philosophy, describing Professional Circles as a cornerstone in fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and interdepartmental collaboration. He also spoke at length about NTPC’s pivotal role in India’s energy transition, and how the trust of stakeholders is anchored in the company’s skilled workforce and operational excellence.

Welcoming the dignitaries, Arnab Maitra, Head of Project, NTPC Bongaigaon, remarked on the significance of Professional Circles in promoting grassroots innovation. “These platforms exemplify how collaborative problem-solving at the operational level leads to impactful process improvements,” he noted, further lauding the alignment of these efforts with NTPC’s renewed core values and sustainability goals.

The event also marked the release of two key publications: a comprehensive brochure by the Corporate Business Excellence (BE) Department, compiling abstracts of all 16 team presentations, and the NTPC Bongaigaon Brochure, launched by Shri Jadli as a ready reckoner for stakeholders. A short film highlighting NTPC Bongaigaon’s ecological initiatives and community outreach efforts was also unveiled, underlining the station’s commitment to sustainable and inclusive development.

The meet witnessed the presence of several senior officials, including Debabrata Kar, GM (O&M), NTPC Bongaigaon, and Raj Kumar Gupta, AGM (Corporate BE Department), along with teams from across NTPC’s national network. Many participants joined virtually, creating a pan-India platform for knowledge sharing and best practice exchange.

Culminating the day’s proceedings was a cultural programme celebrating the rich heritage of Assam and the Bodoland Territorial Region. Through vibrant traditional dances, soulful music, and enthralling performances, the event paid homage to the local culture, leaving participants with a deep appreciation of the region’s unique identity.
