NTPC Bongaigaon launches healthcare project in MON District of Nagaland

Bongaigaon, June 22, 2024 (TBB Bureau): NTPC Bongaigaon has initiated a significant healthcare project in the MON district of Nagaland, valued at Rs 98.6 lakh, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. The project aims to improve emergency medical response and healthcare facilities by providing two Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances and two mortuary vans.

The Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for this project was signed during an online ceremony. Ajit Kumar Verma represented the MON district administration, while Onkar Nath, Head of Human Resources at NTPC Bongaigaon, signed on behalf of NTPC.

The event was attended by key personnel, including Akhilesh Singh, Head of Project, Bongaigaon; Dr. Deepayan Paul, Chief Medical Officer, NTPC Bongaigaon; Paresh Mathur, AGM (TS); and Rakesh Kumar, AGM (EEMG). Their presence underscored NTPC’s commitment to the holistic development of North-East India.

Akhilesh Singh emphasized NTPC’s dedication to sustainable development and its role as a responsible corporate citizen. He highlighted the positive contributions of NTPC to the communities it serves. Dr. Deepayan Paul stressed the importance of the ambulances and mortuary vans in providing timely medical assistance and dignified handling of mortal remains, thereby strengthening the healthcare infrastructure in the MON district.

Ajit Kumar Verma expressed gratitude to NTPC for their generous contribution, acknowledging the project’s potential to improve healthcare accessibility in the region. He highlighted the importance of strategic partnerships in addressing critical community needs and fostering sustainable development.

This initiative is part of NTPC’s ongoing efforts to support healthcare infrastructure and enhance community welfare in North-East India.
