NTPC Bongaigaon on Sunday celebrated the 76th Republic Day with unmatched grandeur, highlighting unity, excellence, and national pride. The celebrations commenced with the National Flag unfurled by Arnab Maitra, Head of Project, who inspected an impressive parade featuring the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), DGR Security Services, CISF Fire Wing, and students from Notre Dame Academy.
In his address, Maitra lauded NTPC Bongaigaon’s outstanding achievements in operations and maintenance, placing it among NTPC’s top-performing stations. He emphasized India’s “Unity in Diversity” and urged the workforce and partners to strive collectively for greater milestones while contributing to the growth of the North East region.
The ceremony also witnessed the release of tricolour balloons, a gesture symbolizing unity and aspiration, accompanied by members of the Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club, employees, and associates. Maitra presented the prestigious BUH Meritorious Awards to 56 employees, recognizing their exceptional contributions, alongside special awards for CISF contingents, DGR Security Services, and ICH staff.
The event was further enriched by captivating tableaux from various departments, including Notre Dame Academy’s pipe band, Employee Welfare Association, Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club, and the CISF Fire Wing, all creatively interpreting the theme “Swarnim Bharat – Virasat aur Vikas.”
Flag-hoisting ceremonies were also held at the New Service Building and Ankur Tiny Tots, with enthusiastic participation from employees, families, and local communities. The celebrations reflected NTPC Bongaigaon’s unwavering commitment to national progress, environmental sustainability, and social responsibility.
With vibrant performances, patriotic fervour, and recognition of excellence, the 76th Republic Day celebration at NTPC Bongaigaon stood as a testament to its dedication to unity, community, and the nation’s ideals.
