Ranchi, October 22, 2024 (TBB Bureau): In a remarkable achievement, Talaipalli and Dulanga Coal Mines of NTPC Mining Limited (NML) have been honored with a prestigious 5 Star Rating for the year 2022-23. The accolades were presented during the Annual Star Rating of Coal Mines award ceremony held in New Delhi on Monday, with Union Minister for Coal and Mines, G Kishan Reddy, and Minister of State for Coal and Mines, Satish Chandra Dubey, gracing the event.
NTPC Limited Director (Fuel) Shivam Srivastava, NML CEO Animesh Jain, Talaipalli Project Head AS Yadav, and Dulanga Project Head BR Prasoon received the awards. The awards underscore NML’s dedication to achieving Atmanirbharta in coal production, contributing significantly to the energy needs of both NTPC and the nation.
The competition was fierce, with a total of 384 coal mines from across India vying for the esteemed star rating. Out of this pool, only 43 mines achieved the coveted 5 Star rating, highlighting the exceptional standards set by Talaipalli and Dulanga.
This recognition not only reflects the operational excellence of NTPC Coal Mines but also reinforces the company’s role in promoting environmentally responsible mining practices that align with national goals.
