NTPC Coal Mining on Saturday entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) for skill development programme for the coal mining project-affected youths. The MoA was signed at a function held at the NTPC Coal Mining Headquarters (CMHQ), here.
Under this agreement, CIPET will provide job-oriented skill development training to the youths from the project-affected families and local villagers of NTPC’s Coal Mining Projects located in the states of Jharkhand, Odisha and Chhattisgarh.
Pravin Bachhav, Joint Director & Head, CIPET, Ranchi and KS Murthy, GM(HR), CMHQ signed the MoA in the presence of Partha Mazumder, RED (Coal Mining).
The skill development programme will be in 2 branches i.e. Machine Operator – Plastic Processing, and Machine Operator – Injection Moulding, consisting of 40 students in each batch, and will be of 6-month duration.
A total of 80 candidates from the Coal Mining project-affected population will be benefited from this initiative of the Coal Mining Headquarters.
