As part of the ongoing observance of the Vigilance Awareness Week at NTPC Coal Mining Headquarters from October 26, a Vendor Meet was organized virtually on Wednesday. The meet was attended by senior officials, vigilance department officials and vendors from NTPC Coal Mining Headquarters and Projects.
Welcoming the participants, Regional Executive Director (Coal Mining) Partha Mazumder appreciated the efforts of SSC-C&M Department for organizing the virtual meet following COVID guidelines.
Mazumder called for collective effort to fight against the menace of corruption. NTPC has completed more than 45 years and “Integrity” has been the core value of the organization, he added.
On the occasion, he shared about the operation of NTPC Coal Mining Projects, and apprised that the business of coal mining operation would witness growth with time. “Therefore, vendors should actively participate in NTPC tenders with focus on quality, optimal cost, and meeting deadlines,” he said while reiterating that vendors are regarded as partners.
He urged the vendors to make Vendor Meet an interactive and learning session.
S K Ray, Head of Project, Taliapalli and Shivam Srivasatva , Head of Project, Dulanga Coal Mining project were present during the meet.
Inaugural address of the vendor meet was given by R C Majhi, AGM (SSC-C&M). During the meet, presentation was given by Pranay Sharma, Sr. Manager (SSC-C&M) and Awanish Kumar, Sr. Manager (SSC-C&M) about the recent procurement policy developments in NTPC, including various online initiatives adopted by NTPC.
The queries raised by the vendors were also addressed by NTPC officials at the end of the presentation. The event witnessed huge participation with more than 69 participants joining the meet. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks given by Kumar Sudhakar, AGM(C&M).
