Ranchi, May 19, 2024 (TBB Bureau): In a bid to raise community awareness about the significance of cleanliness and sanitation, NTPC Coal Mining Headquarters/NTPC Mining Limited, Ranchi, organised a Swachhta Rally as part of the ongoing Swachhta Pakhwada-2024 (May 16 to May 31, 2024).
The rally saw the enthusiastic participation of Regional Executive Director (Coal Mining), Animesh Jain, heads of departments, employees, and their family members in large numbers. Starting from the office campus, the rally traversed through the streets and culminated at Ranchi Railway Station.
Following the rally, employees engaged in a cleanliness drive at the parking area of the Railway Station. To promote proper waste management, dustbins were distributed to street vendors near the Railway Station, while hand sanitizers were provided by senior officials and employees as part of the cleanliness fortnightly celebration. This initiative received active support from the administration of Ranchi Railway Station.
As part of the Swachhta Pakhwada celebration, NTPC Coal Mining HQ/NML plans to conduct more community cleaning drive activities at public places and organize street plays (Nukad Natak) to engage the local community in promoting the message that “Cleanliness is the key to Good Health.”
