As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, NTPC Northern Region Headquarters (NRHQ), through the Uttara Club, extended support to the children of “Rajkiya Bal Grih, Lucknow,” an orphanage, during the peak of winter. In a compassionate gesture, the club organized an event to distribute blankets, ensuring warmth and comfort for the children in the chilly season.
The event, led by Vijaya Rao, President of Uttara Club, was both inspiring and impactful. During her visit, Rao interacted warmly with the children, extended heartfelt New Year wishes, and motivated them to focus on their education as a stepping stone toward a brighter future.
The welfare initiative also saw active participation from key Uttara Club members, including Vice Presidents Neelkamal and Sangita Singha Ray, along with the Secretary and other committee members. Their collective effort highlighted the club’s dedication to social upliftment and community welfare.
Adding to the significance of the occasion, food packets were distributed to the children, ensuring not just warmth but also nourishment. The children, in turn, captivated the audience by showcasing their talents through heartfelt songs and poetry recitations, receiving immense appreciation from all attendees.
