NTPC Northern Region Headquarters celebrated International Women’s Day with remarkable enthusiasm under the theme “Accelerate Action.” The theme underscored the importance of advancing gender equality by empowering women and promoting education.
On this special occasion, N S Rao, Regional Executive Director (RED), Northern Region, extended his heartfelt greetings to the women employees of NRHQ. He emphasized that women empowerment begins at home and gradually extends to society. Shri Rao acknowledged the invaluable contributions of women in various fields, highlighting that several key areas within NTPC are now led by women, reflecting the organization’s commitment to gender equality.
Amreek Singh Bhogal, General Manager (OS), also conveyed his best wishes to the women employees. Adding to the spirit of empowerment, Samiran Sinha Ray, Regional Head of HR, shared his inspiring vision of seeing a region, station, or department entirely led by women. He stated that such an achievement would serve as a powerful testament to NTPC’s dedication to fostering an inclusive and empowering work environment.
The event concluded with an interactive session where Shri Rao engaged with the female employees. During the discussion, employees expressed their appreciation for NTPC’s supportive and inclusive workplace culture. Many highlighted that NTPC offers a women-friendly environment, ensuring accessibility to senior management and encouraging open dialogue without barriers.
