NTPC signs MoU with MECON for consultancy, project management services for its coal mines

RANCHI, JUNE 4, 2022

PSUs NTPC Ltd and MECON Ltd have joined hands and collaborated to strengthen the mines infrastructure facilities, mines development and other associated infrastructure projects of NTPC Coal Mines.

In this regard, NTPC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MECON, Ranchi on Thursday to utilize its expertise in the field of engineering Consultancy Services and Project Management Services related to design, engineering mining infrastructure facilities, power supply and distribution facilities, mining plan, Feasibility Report (FR)/Detail Project Report (DPR) preparation/validation, and environmental compliances.

The MoU was signed by NTPC Regional Executive Director (Coal Mining) Partha Mazumder and MECON GM (Marketing) RK Verma in presence of MECON Director (Commercial) & CMD designate Sanjay Kumar Verma, and other senior officials from both the companies.

Addressing the gathering, Partha Mazumder shared that NTPC is looking forward to a productive association with MECON in the times to come.
