NTPC-sponsored CIPET’s youth skill development training concludes with 100 pc placement

As part of its CSR initiative, NTPC Coal Mining took up an initiative to sponsor 80 youths including 4 girls from all coal mining project areas and its vicinity from the states of Jharkhand, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh for skill development training in “Machine Operator Injection Moulding” and “Machine Operator Plastic Processing” courses. These courses were carried out in association with Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET), Ranchi for a duration of six months.

NTPC Regional Executive Director (Coal Mining) Partha Mazumder graced the valedictory session-cum-job offering letter giving ceremony as the chief guest on Wednesday.

CIPET-Ranchi Joint Director & Head Pravin Bachhav, SSC-C&M CGM Naveen Jain, GM (Engineering) BM Singh, GM (HR) KS Murthy, GM (Technical Services) TK Konar and AGM (Engineering) Apurbha Ghosh were also present on the occasion.

Mazumder congratulated all the students for successfully completing the courses with nearly 100 per cent placement. He appreciated the confidence and charisma that the students gained during their 6-month-long training. He thanked the CIPET team for their unwavering support, quality education, and guidance to the students.

Conveying his good wishes to the students, Mazumder advised the students to prepare themselves for the new era of life and suggested that they stay focused and grab every learning opportunity.

He also shared that NTPC believes in partnering with PAPs for growth through its various CSR-CD activities and makes every effort for their social upliftment.

CIPET-Ranchi Joint Director & Head Pravin Bachhav and senior officials of NTPC Coal Mining headquarters shared words of encouragement, appreciation, and good wishes to the students for their bright career ahead and to set on a path to become icons and inspiration for others through their success stories.

During the interaction session, students shared their experiences during the tenure of the six months’ course. The students conveyed their gratitude to NTPC Coal Mining Headquarters and CIPET for providing them the opportunity and platform to upgrade themselves with skill development and job placement in various companies which will provide them wings to fly for a bright future and growth. As a token of encouragement, inspirational Hindi books were distributed among the students.
