NTPC Swayamsiddha Ladies Club assists underprivileged children with water tankers, educational materials

RANCHI, MAY 22, 2024 (TBB BUREAU): In a heartwarming display of community service, the NTPC Swayamsiddha Ladies Club (SSLC) has stepped forward to support underprivileged segments of society with essential provisions and educational resources.

Under its benevolent welfare initiative, SSLC recently provided two water tanks and distributed food packets to the Adim Jatiya Seva Mandal, an orphanage home catering to tribal and underprivileged children. With the scorching summer heat escalating, the provision of water tanks aims to ensure uninterrupted access to drinking water, while the food packets offer sustenance to the residents during these challenging times.

Additionally, SSLC members embarked on a mission to bolster educational opportunities for underprivileged children residing in the slum areas of Bariatu, Ranchi. Collaborating with the Robinhood Army’s cluster, an organisation dedicated to supporting education in impoverished communities, SSLC distributed stationery items and textbooks. This initiative aims to address the dearth of basic educational resources hindering effective learning among these children, thereby facilitating their access to quality education.

SSLC President Rekha Jain expressed her delight in spearheading these initiatives, emphasizing the Club’s commitment to serving the marginalized sections of society. “The aim of our organization is to serve the backward sections of society, and we are extremely happy to take this initiative to serve the society,” she said.

The beneficiaries of these initiatives expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the efforts of SSLC in uplifting their lives and providing much-needed support.

The distribution events were graced by the presence of key members of SSLC, including Vice Presidents Shikha Rastogi and Purnima Shrikhande, General Secretary Mansa Verma, Joint Secretary Deepa, Cultural Secretary Parameshwari, Treasurer Snigdha Majjhi, along with other dedicated members, who played pivotal roles in ensuring the success of these endeavours.
