NTPC Swayamsiddha Ladies Club distributes food items at children shelter home

 Realising that proper nutrition helps in leading a healthy life, Swayamsiddha Ladies Club of NTPC Coal Mining Headquarters, Ranchi distributed essential food items to the needy children of Asha Children Shelter Home in Tupudana, here as part of its CSR initiative.

Swayamsiddha Ladies Club and its members distributed rice, dal, vegetable oil, pulses, health drink, eggs, fruits etc. to create awareness on proper nutrition. The generosity and voluntary contribution from each and every club member made the event special.

On this occasion, Swayamsiddha Ladies Club President Mahua Mazumder, while interacting with the children and office bearers of the shelter home, stressed on having nutrient food in their daily diet to stay healthy as it is essential especially for growth of the children. The Ladies Club is making all efforts to support the needy through its various welfare activities regularly.

Addressing the gathering, General Manager (HR) Srinivas K Murty said NTPC Coal Mining Headquarters is keen to support the needy and marginalised community of the society to the extent possible.

The noble initiative of the Ladies Club was highly appreciated by the beneficiaries.

Senior committee members of Ladies Club, Lakshmi Murthy, Kiran Dubey, Kabita Samal, Snigdha Majhi, Mansa Verma and Apoorva Dwivedi were present on the occasion.
