Swayamsiddha Ladies Club, NTPC Coal Mining Headquarters organised the Hariyali Teej Festival with pomp and gaiety at Ranchi on Thursday.
The Teej program began with the welcoming of Chief Guest Meenkashi Srivastava, Senior Member, Sanyukta Mahila Samiti by Padma Reddy, President, Swayamsiddha Ladies Club in the presence of Presidents, Ladies Coal Mining Projects, Hazaribag and senior committee executive members of the Club.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Meenkashi Srivastava shared the significance of the Teej Festival and appreciated the efforts of the Club members for organising the colourful event.
To celebrate Teej Festival in a festive flavour, a Hairstyle competition was conducted for the Ladies Club members. In addition, Teej Queen Competition was organised for the members and the winners were selected through three rounds — Self-Introduction, Ramp Walk and Question & Answer round by the Judges.
Gangotri Das was crowned as Teej Queen and Sapna was the first runner-up while Anita Prasad was declared the second runner-up.
Cultural program was the added attraction during the Teej celebrations in which all members of the Club participated to make the event a grand success.
On the occasion, Rekha Jain, Jyothi Jalota, Tazeen Faiz, Pooja Jain, Sanchita Konar, Lakshmi Murthy, Manasi Ghosh, MS Ramya, Snigdha Majhi, Mansa Verma, Deepa and Parameswari and other members were also present.
