As part of its CSR initiative, Swayamsiddha Ladies Club of NTPC Coal Mining Headquarters donated three air coolers for providing relief to the inmates of Adarsh Old Age Home during the ongoing summer season. The Ladies Club, under the leadership of its President Mahua Mazumder, also provided one deep freezer for preserving foods and vegetables.
The noble initiative was taken in the presence of Swayamsiddha Ladies Club Vice Presidents Sanchita Konar and Lakshmi Murthy, General Secretary MS Ramya and CSR Secretary Mansa Verma.
The program was organised in line with COVID guidelines with the wearing of masks keeping in view the health of senior citizens who are vulnerable to COVID infection.
On the occasion, Mazumder interacted with the inmates of Adarsh Old Age Home and enquired about their wellbeing. A session was held on staying healthy — both physically and mentally with Sahaja Yoga and meditation.
The program concluded with distribution of fruits to the inmates.
