“Odisha stands as a leader in the mining sector, excelling in the production of bauxite, coal, iron ore, and other mineral resources, significantly contributing to the state’s revenue,” said Gokulananda Mallik, Odisha’s Minister for MSME, during the inauguration of the 3rd Odisha Mining and Infrastructure International Expo 2025 at Baramunda Ground in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
Minister Mallik underscored Odisha’s vital role in India’s mining industry, emphasizing the state’s key contributions to the national economy. He expressed optimism that the expo would serve as a catalyst for further growth and innovation within the sector.
The grand opening of India’s largest mining and infrastructure exhibition was graced by distinguished guests, including Hemant Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary of the Government of Odisha; Swami Prem Anveshi, Managing Director of Futurex Group; Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand, former CMD of NALCO and Chairman of the Organizing Committee; as well as other key dignitaries and industry leaders.
Organized by Futurex Trade Fair and Events Pvt. Ltd. in partnership with the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Skill Council of Mining Sector, and the Odisha Assembly of Small and Medium Enterprises (OASME), the event brought together top stakeholders from India’s mining, construction, and infrastructure industries, along with international participants.
Hemant Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary of Odisha, shared his enthusiasm, saying, “I am pleased to witness such high-quality participation at this expo. It serves as a vital platform for advancing the mining sector’s growth and development in Odisha.”
Swami Prem Anveshi, Managing Director of Futurex Group, highlighted the strong international representation at the event, with prominent companies from Russia, Germany, Korea, Japan, and Taiwan showcasing innovative technologies and solutions. These global leaders are unveiling advanced mining equipment and infrastructure development services that are poised to reshape the industry.
Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, remarked that Odisha, with its established status as India’s mining hub, has immense potential to host world-class mining conferences. He encouraged mining organizations to collaborate in elevating the expo to a global platform.

With over 250 companies in attendance, the event provided attendees with valuable insights into the latest advancements shaping the future of these industries.
