Angul, December 22, 2024 (TBB Bureau): OP Jindal School, Angul, celebrated its Annual Cultural Meet 2024 with grandeur and fervor at Eden Garden, JSP Township, over two spectacular days. Themed ‘Samriddhi – A New Dawn’ for the Primary and Pre-Primary Wing and ‘Punarjyoti: The Reawakening Light’ for the Middle and Senior Wing, the event showcased the creative brilliance of over 1,000 students and reaffirmed the school’s commitment to holistic education.
The celebration commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Seema Malhan and Anita Mittal, Presidents of Jindal Mahila Samiti, along with the esteemed Yoga Guru Swami Satyabindu Saraswati. The auspicious beginning, accompanied by spiritual chants, set a reverent tone for the festivities.
The first day spotlighted the talents of 600 students from the Primary Wing. Performances such as Namaskar: Yoga, the vibrant Bihu Dance, and Exotic Odisha captivated the audience with their energy and cultural depth. Senior teacher Supriya Baral took the stage to honor outstanding achievers, applauding their dedication to academics and extracurricular pursuits. Motivational speeches by the Chief Guests inspired the young learners to strive for excellence and embrace holistic growth.
The second day turned the spotlight on 400 Middle and Senior Wing students. Chief Guest Pankaj Malhan, ED In-Charge and Chairman of the School Management Committee (SMC), inaugurated the day alongside dignitaries including Damodar Mittal, ED – Projects and Vice Chairman – SMC, Dilip Kumar Sinha, President and CHRO, Hanuman Kumar Sharma, President, Finance and Accounts, and Col. Rahul J. Sharma, AVP, Security.
Standout performances included the Symphonic Fusion Band, the engaging Mythological Carnival, a thought-provoking Hindi drama titled Parivartan, and Chaturangam: The Game of Dice. The day concluded with Rhythmic Punjab, an electrifying performance that left the audience in awe. Senior teacher Lilly Mohanta also took a moment to honor achievers, celebrating their accomplishments and perseverance.
Each day concluded with the National Anthem, instilling a deep sense of patriotism among attendees. The event drew praise from esteemed guests, who lauded the school’s efforts in nurturing creativity and fostering cultural pride. Principal Ashwini Kumar Sahu presented the annual report, emphasizing the school’s achievements and outlining its future goals. Administrator Soumya Banerjee and Vice Principal Arun Kumar Dash expressed gratitude to all contributors through heartfelt votes of thanks.
