PARADIP, JUNE 2, 2024 (TBB BUREAU): The Paradip Port Authority (PPA) has achieved a significant milestone with the successful handling of the first reefer container at the PICT (Paradip International Cargo Terminal) berth, a facility managed by JM Baxi. This groundbreaking event marks the inaugural handling of a reefer container since the commencement of the regular Exim feeder service at Paradip.
On June 1, the reefer container, labelled B one, was efficiently loaded onto the MV MSC JUANITA F vessel at the PICT berth, signifying a momentous achievement for the Port. This milestone underscores PPA’s commitment to promoting container trade from Odisha, propelling the region’s connectivity and trade prospects to new heights.
Commenting on this historic feat, officials from PPA and JM Baxi expressed their satisfaction and emphasized the significance of this accomplishment in enhancing the Port’s capabilities and facilitating smoother trade operations.
