PNB strengthens NRI services with 24×7 Customer Service Centre and new offerings

New Delhi, November 27, 2024 (TBB Bureau): Punjab National Bank (PNB), India’s leading public sector bank, has unveiled a major enhancement to its NRI services with the launch of a 24×7 NRI Customer Service Centre on November 23, 2024. This new initiative, aimed at improving customer experience and meeting the growing demands of Non-Resident Indian (NRI) clients, was introduced alongside a suite of innovative financial products and services.

The launch event was held at PNB’s office at Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi, and was graced by M. Nagaraju, Secretary, Department of Financial Services (DFS), in the presence of key dignitaries including Pankaj Sharma, Joint Secretary, DFS; PNB’s MD & CEO Atul Kumar Goel; and Executive Directors Kalyan Kumar, Shri Binod Kumar, M. Paramasivam, and Bibhu Prasad Mahapatra.

The new offerings aim to cater to the unique banking needs of NRIs across the globe, providing them with more accessible, convenient, and personalized banking solutions. These include extended toll-free numbers for NRI customers in seven countries, a doorstep document pickup facility for easy paperwork submission, and WhatsApp Banking for quick transactions via messaging platforms. PNB has also introduced the FCNR-(B) Forward Linked Premium Deposit Scheme to offer more attractive returns for NRIs, along with 50 specialized NRI service branches across the country. Additionally, the bank has launched the NRI Navigator, a comprehensive guide with frequently asked questions, to help NRI customers navigate through the bank’s services. To further enhance the online banking experience, PNB has revamped its website to better serve its NRI clientele.

Atul Kumar Goel, MD & CEO of PNB, reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to providing accessible, seamless, and customized banking solutions for the global NRI community. The launch highlights PNB’s continued efforts to expand its international presence and enhance customer satisfaction through innovation and personalized services.
