PPA sets new record with fastest ever 25 MMT cargo throughput in a financial year

PARADIP, JUNE 2, 2024 (TBB BUREAU):  The Paradip Port Authority (PPA) has achieved a remarkable milestone in the current fiscal year, surpassing the 25 MMT (Million Metric Tonnes) mark in cargo throughput. Following a memorable last fiscal year, PPA has commenced the FY2024-25 on a high note, with the total cargo volume reaching 25.44 MMT as of June 1, 2024, marking the fastest throughput in PPA’s history.

Commenting on the record achievement, PPA Chairman PL Haranadh said, “Team PPA has demonstrated unwavering commitment in steering the strategic direction of our Port. The diligent oversight by the management has been instrumental in achieving our organizational goals. This has undoubtedly contributed to our Port’s stellar performance so far in 2024.
