WASHINGTON/MUMBAI, JULY 1, 2024 (TBB BUREAU): In a powerful stride towards women’s empowerment, the 2024-25 WomenLeaders India Fellowship has been officially launched today. This prestigious program, a joint effort by Reliance Foundation and Vital Voices, is designed to elevate 50 extraordinary women leaders within India’s social sector, fostering transformative change and innovation across the nation.
Aligning with India’s G20 Presidency commitment, which emphasizes women-led development as a key driver for inclusive growth, the Fellowship will focus on leadership capacity building in critical areas such as Climate Resilience, Sports for Development, Education, and Livelihood Generation. Applications are now open and will be accepted until July 28, 2024, inviting passionate women leaders from across India to apply through the Reliance Foundation website.
Selected Fellows will embark on an intensive ten-month journey beginning in September 2024. The program features a blend of in-person convenings, virtual webinars, and community gatherings. Participants will benefit from comprehensive mentorship, skills development, and project incubation, all geared towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The program will culminate in a grand finale where Fellows will present their groundbreaking projects. Exceptional initiatives will receive grants to further scale their impact. Additionally, Fellowship alumni will join an influential network, enhancing their visibility and opening doors to opportunities at both national and international levels.
