Renault India, a wholly owned subsidiary of Renault Groupe, has taken a significant step towards transformation in the Indian automotive landscape by inaugurating its Ambattur dealership. This facility is the first in India to adopt Renault’s new global architectural format, the new’R store, marking a milestone in the company’s commitment to delivering an enhanced customer experience. As part of Renault’s broader strategy, all dealerships worldwide will eventually adopt this innovative format, setting a new benchmark in sales and service excellence.
The new’R store format has been designed to elevate the customer experience by offering a modern and immersive ambiance. At the core of this transformation is a fresh theme that seamlessly integrates contemporary aesthetics with functionality. The vehicle display has been strategically positioned at the heart of the showroom, allowing customers to explore Renault cars from all angles. This new layout also introduces signature lighting, premium seating, and an exceptional service experience, ensuring a sophisticated and customer-centric approach. Additionally, the showroom encompasses all essential service areas, including the after-sales reception, customer lounge, and sales advisor offices, all placed within the perimeter of the facility for easy accessibility.
Speaking at the launch event, Venkatram M., Managing Director and Country CEO of Renault India, emphasized the strategic importance of this initiative. “The launch of the Ambattur dealership marks a pivotal moment in Renault’s journey in India. The fact that India became the first country to actualize the new’R store format reaffirms Renault’s India strategy. India is at the forefront of Renault’s global plans, and soon, the country will witness a completely revamped Renault, offering superior customer experience through acclaimed products, redefined sales experience, and globally acclaimed after-sales services.”
Renault India has also committed to upgrading all its dealerships across the country to align with the new global visual identity (NVI). As part of this transformation, Renault’s outlets will feature the brand’s new logo in white over a sleek black façade, reinforcing a bold and dynamic image. In 2025 alone, the company plans to revamp close to 100 dealerships, with the complete transformation expected to be achieved by 2026.
The upgraded facilities will embody a modern, urban look, featuring signature lighting and premium seating arrangements. Renault prospects and customers can expect an unparalleled service experience, with optimized showroom layouts that ensure accessibility and efficiency. By placing key service areas along the perimeter and maintaining a central space for vehicle displays, the new design enhances both functionality and visual appeal. Furthermore, this initiative aligns with Renault’s broader global strategy, known as Renaulution, which focuses on upgrading the brand, evolving the product range, and implementing a comprehensive network transformation.
