ROURKELA, AUGUST 2, 2024 (TBB BUREAU): Bolani Ore Mines (BOM), under the Odisha Group of Mines (OGOM) of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), has achieved its highest ever departmental production and dispatch in July 2024, setting a new benchmark in its production history.
In July 2024, Bolani Ore Mines produced an all-time high of 4.61 lakh tons of lumps and fines, surpassing the previous record of 4.44 lakh tons set in July 2021. The cumulative departmental production of lumps and fines from April to July 2024 has also reached a historic peak of 24.01 lakh tons.
This impressive performance extended to dispatch operations as well. Bolani Ore Mines recorded its highest-ever departmental dispatch of 6.71 lakh tons in July 2024, exceeding the previous record of 6.43 lakh tons from July 2021. The cumulative departmental dispatch from April to July 2024 also reached a record-breaking 25.71 lakh tons. Additionally, BOM dispatched 51 rakes of fines to steel plants for conversion into pellets.
