Shallu Jindal, Chairperson of the Jindal Foundation and Chancellor of OP Jindal University, underscored the Foundation’s dedication to fostering positive social and economic transformation at the World Economic Forum  (WEF) in Davos. In her address, Jindal highlighted the Foundation’s impactful initiatives that drive sustainable growth and empower future generations, making a lasting difference in underserved communities.

Jindal participated in a thought-provoking panel discussion titled “From Skill Gaps to Skill Gains” alongside Union Minister for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Jayant Chaudhary, at the India Pavilion, hosted by Invest India. She detailed the successful collaboration between the Jindal Foundation and the Government of India in addressing skill gaps and enhancing employability, particularly for marginalized groups. Recognizing Minister Chaudhary’s exemplary leadership, she praised his efforts to advance skill development across the country.

In a separate session titled “Generational Wealth,” organized by the Women Inspiring Network, Jindal expanded on the Foundation’s transformative work in uplifting marginalized communities. She emphasized how these initiatives create a cycle of economic empowerment, enabling future generations to build and sustain wealth within their own communities.

The Jindal Foundation, the social development arm of Naveen Jindal-led Jindal Steel & Power, has touched the lives of over 14.3 million people across India. Through its comprehensive and sustainable programs, it addresses critical areas such as community healthcare, nutrition, clean water and sanitation, women and farmers’ empowerment, education, rural infrastructure, social inclusion, and sports.

Jindal’s participation at the World Economic Forum reflects the Foundation’s continued commitment to meaningful, long-term change. By engaging with global leaders to shape social and economic agendas, the Foundation is helping build a more inclusive, equitable, and prosperous future. The World Economic Forum’s mission to “improve the state of the world” aligns seamlessly with the Jindal Foundation’s vision of empowering individuals and communities on a global scale.
