The Public Relations Society of India (PRSI), Bhubaneswar Chapter, has ushered in a new era of leadership with the election of its office bearers at the 6th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Sunday. The newly elected team, comprising seasoned professionals and dynamic young leaders, is poised to strengthen the chapter’s role in advancing public relations and corporate communications in Odisha.
At the helm of the new leadership is Sudhi Ranjan Mishra, Head of Corporate Affairs at Paradeep Phosphates Ltd, who has been elected as the Chairman of the PRSI Bhubaneswar Chapter. With his extensive experience and strategic vision, Mishra aims to enhance professional standards of public relations and fostering collaboration among industry stakeholders.

Dr. Sanjay Kumar Sahoo
Among the key appointments, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Sahoo, General Manager – Corporate Communication at Jindal Steel and Power Ltd., takes over as Vice Chairman. A well-regarded corporate communication expert, Dr. Sahoo brings a wealth of knowledge and strategic insight into the PR domain. His expertise in corporate communication and stakeholder engagement is expected to add significant value to the chapter’s initiatives.
Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, State Head – Corporate Communication, Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd., has been appointed as the Secretary of the Chapter. With his deep understanding of media relations and brand positioning, Mahapatra is set to drive PRSI Bhubaneswar’s efforts in fostering industry-academia collaboration and digital PR advancements.
Taking charge of the financial stewardship of the chapter is Ansuman Pattanayak, Head – Corporate Communication, PR and Branding, Kalinga Hospital Ltd., who has been elected as the Treasurer. Pattanayak’s extensive experience in healthcare communications, corporate branding, and crisis management will help strengthen the chapter’s initiatives and outreach programs.
Other key positions include Sandeep Sethi, DGM – Corporate Communication, Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC), as Joint Secretary, while the executive committee welcomes industry veterans Shashank Pattnaik and Amarjyoti Mahapatra, along with experienced young professionals Sambit Mohanty, Dharitri Satpathy, Dipanwita Mishra, and Dr. Anurag Sahu.
The new leadership has set its sights on expanding professional development opportunities, hosting networking events, and organizing skill-building workshops. Their goal is to elevate PR standards in Odisha, making the chapter a hub for knowledge exchange and industry best practices.
