Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL), the two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, has announced an impressive 22% growth in sales for December 2024. The company reported total sales of 96,804 units during the month, compared to 79,483 units in December 2023.
Domestic sales surged by 14%, reaching 78,834 units, up from 69,025 units in the same period last year. Notably, the company’s export performance also saw a significant leap, registering a 72% increase with 17,970 units sold overseas, compared to 10,458 units in December 2023.
Reflecting on this achievement, Devashish Handa, Executive Vice President – Sales, Marketing and After Sales at SMIPL, said, “We have been experiencing consistent year-on-year growth every month, and December has been no exception. This reflects the growing preference for our products among two-wheeler users and a recognition of the quality of the sales and after-sales experience that our dealerships provide. We express our sincere gratitude to our customers for their growing patronage, which remains our biggest motivator to deliver superior products and services.”
Adding to its December achievements, SMIPL celebrated the production milestone of 60 lakh cumulative units of its flagship scooter, the Suzuki Access 125, a testament to the scooter’s enduring popularity. The company also successfully concluded the third edition of its iconic motorcycling festival, Suzuki Matsuri, in Mumbai. This vibrant event brought together over 4,600 participants, showcasing the company’s commitment to fostering a strong community of motorcycle enthusiasts.
