Tapas Kumar Pattanayak has assumed the role of Director (Human Resources) at Navratna CPSE National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO). Before taking up this prestigious position, he served as Executive Director (HR) at the Refineries Division Head Office of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd in Delhi.
With an illustrious career spanning over 33 years, Pattanayak brings extensive expertise in Human Resources and Industrial Relations, excelling in areas such as organizational development, employee engagement, talent acquisition, industrial relations, learning and development, and HR strategy. His professional journey includes significant contributions to the mining, refinery, and oil and gas sectors. A distinguished alumnus of Utkal University, he holds a Master’s degree and a PhD in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations, in addition to a degree in Law.
Renowned for his innovative approach, Pattanayak has consistently implemented HR practices that align seamlessly with organizational goals. At NALCO, he will oversee all aspects of human resources management, including talent acquisition, employee development, and enhancing organizational effectiveness. He is also committed to ensuring that NALCO’s HR initiatives are closely aligned with the company’s vision and long-term strategic objectives.
Union Mines Ministry Additional Secretary and NALCO CMD, Sanjay Lohiya, extended his congratulations to Pattanayak on his new role.
