As the cyclone approaches, TPCODL is fully equipped to handle any potential disruptions with the aim of minimizing impact on consumers.
The company has activated its Business Continuity and Disaster Management Plan (BCDMP), a structured disaster response framework designed to manage emergencies efficiently. This plan includes proactive measures to monitor real-time weather alerts, issue timely warnings, and facilitate rapid restoration of power in case of outages.
TPCODL urges consumers to report any power-related issues through its 24×7 toll-free helplines: 1912 and 18003457122. To ensure a quick response to emergencies, the company has deployed teams across key locations in its service areas, ready to address any issues that may arise due to the cyclone.
With the cyclone drawing near, TPCODL emphasizes the importance of following safety precautions to avoid accidents and ensure the well-being of consumers. The company advises the public to: Refrain from touching electrical installations, wires, or plumbing during thunderstorms, as they can conduct electricity; Stay indoors in safe structures and avoid taking shelter under trees or temporary structures during strong winds and heavy rainfall; Avoid handling electrical equipment with wet hands or while standing in water without proper insulation; and Keep children away from open storm drains and water bodies during and after heavy rains.
“As Cyclone Dana approaches, we are fully prepared to ensure minimal disruption to the power supply. We have activated a decentralized control room for real-time monitoring of our network and have taken proactive measures to ensure sufficient manpower and material are ready at all sites,” said Arvind Singh, CEO, TPCODL. “We are working closely with government agencies to protect both infrastructure and public safety.
