TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL), a prominent joint venture between Tata Power and the Government of Odisha, has been awarded a distinguished 4-Star rating at the Energy Conservation Award (ENCON) 2024. This accolade, presented by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Eastern Region, underscores TPCODL’s unwavering commitment to energy conservation and sustainability.
The ENCON awards celebrate organizations that demonstrate exceptional energy efficiency initiatives and nature-positive practices. The rigorous evaluation process included multiple stages, starting with the submission of comprehensive applications, followed by a desktop assessment, and concluding with presentations to a jury comprising esteemed members from industry and academia. The final round, held at the CII Energy Conclave 2024 in Kolkata, saw fierce competition among 62 teams from the manufacturing and services sectors.
TPCODL’s journey to this recognition involved competing against industry giants such as ITC Limited, Aditya Birla Group, CESC Limited, IFFCO, Exide Industries, Jindal Steels, Tata Power Jojobera, NALCO, Tata BlueScope Steel, RAMCO Cements, and Tata Steel. Their innovative efforts in energy-saving and decarbonization were pivotal in securing this honor.
