Ladu Kishore Pradhan, a dedicated lineman from TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL), has brought immense pride to Odisha by being recognized at the national level for his exemplary contributions to innovation, service, and reliability. The Central Electricity Authority (CEA) felicitated him during the prestigious Lineman Diwas 2025 event held in New Delhi.
At this national event, four top-performing DISCOMs and five outstanding linemen from across the country were honored for their excellence in the power sector. Pradhan was the sole recipient from Odisha among the top five linemen, a testament to his dedication and skill. Currently serving as Lineman-C in the Tangi Section under Balugaon Division, Bhubaneswar-2 Circle, he has accumulated over 20 years of experience in the field. With a strong emphasis on safety, he has developed a discharge rod that enhances efficiency by enabling electrical work to be completed with minimal time and effort.
The event witnessed the participation of more than 160 linemen from over 45 public and private power distribution, generation, and transmission companies across India. Representatives from various states, including Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal, attended the program, highlighting the significance of recognizing frontline workers in the power sector.
