The company has urged pandal and shop owners to obtain authorized temporary connections and follow all necessary safety standards to avoid hazards.
To reinforce their safety-first approach, TPCODL has stressed the importance of employing only licensed electricians for wiring and testing electrical installations. Maintaining a safe distance from electrical infrastructure and avoiding illegal hookups are key priorities to prevent accidents. The company highlights the need for legal connections for tents and pandals, mandating the use of 30 mA RCCBs to safeguard the public. Proper earthing of electrical setups is crucial, and organizers are advised to install fire extinguishers as well as energy-efficient LED lighting for safer, more sustainable events. Additionally, a strong warning was issued against the use of metallic pipes or rods in flags, as accidental contact with live electrical networks could lead to severe consequences.
