Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest producer of aluminium, in collaboration with the District Education Office, Jharsuguda, successfully conducted ‘UNMESA 3.0’, a three-day residential orientation camp designed to foster academic excellence among top-performing 10th standard students from government and government-aided schools in the district.
Held at K.G. Girls’ High School, Samasingha, the program focused on board exam preparation, career guidance, and skill development. A total of 51 students participated in the camp, benefiting from interactive sessions led by 15 dedicated teachers and employee volunteers from Vedanta. The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Jharsuguda MLA Tankadhar Tripathy, District Education Officer Radhakanta Gartia, and Additional District Educational Officer Sushanta Kumar Ghuta.
A key component of Vedanta’s Vidyagraha – e-learning project, the initiative covered seven essential academic subjects while offering insights into effective study techniques. Employee volunteers conducted personalized career counselling sessions, addressing students’ academic and professional queries to help them make informed choices for their future.
Commending the initiative, MLA Tankadhar Tripathy remarked, “It is inspiring to see young students embracing this opportunity to expand their knowledge and shape their future. Programs like UNMESA 3.0 not only enhance academic preparedness but also instill values crucial for long-term success. I encourage these bright minds to unlock their full potential and contribute positively to society.”
