New Delhi, September 11, 2024 (TBB Bureau): Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest aluminium producer and the world’s top aluminium wire rod manufacturer, introduced two new products at ‘PowerEdge 2024’. The AL59 Ingot, noted for its high electrical conductivity, is ideal for remelting, while the EC-grade Wire Rod, designed for winding strip applications, offers a balance of strength and conductivity. Both are engineered for high-precision tasks in transformer and motor winding.
Showcased at PowerEdge 2024, the products highlight aluminium’s role in transforming the power sector, which saw a 7% increase in demand in 2023 and is expected to grow at an average annual rate of 6% through 2026. Vedanta’s wire rods contribute to this growth by enhancing efficiency and sustainability in power transmission.

Their products, made using advanced technologies from Southwire (USA) and Continuus-Properzi (Italy), are used in over 60 countries. The company’s Restora and Restora Ultra ranges, produced with renewable energy and recovered aluminium, demonstrate their commitment to low-carbon solutions.
Vedanta Aluminium’s customer-centric approach includes tailored product innovations and the upcoming Aluminium Park in Jharsuguda, Odisha, where customers can access molten metal from the nearby smelter. Additionally, the newly launched Vedanta Metal Bazaar, the largest e-superstore for aluminium products, offers an AI-enhanced buying experience.
