Bhubaneswar, November 21, 2024 (TBB Bureau): Prof. Achyuta Samanta, the visionary Founder of KIIT, KISS, and KIMS, has been conferred with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award by the World Academy of Art and Culture (WAAC) for his transformative contributions to society.
The award was presented during the inaugural ceremony of the 43rd World Congress of Poets (WCP) in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. His Holiness Thavathiru Kundrakudi Ponnambala Adigalar, a revered spiritual leader, presented the honor in the presence of poets and literary luminaries from over 30 countries.
Adding another accolade to his illustrious career, Prof. Samanta was also bestowed with the Rabindranath Tagore Award for his exceptional contributions to promoting art, culture, and literature. This award was handed over by Dr. Sethu Kumanan, a renowned educationist, philanthropist, and Chairman of the Sethu Bhasakara Group of Institutions.
In a significant gesture recognizing his unwavering dedication to art and culture, the World Congress of Poets has inducted Prof. Samanta as a member of its prestigious Executive Board. This special appointment highlights his role in fostering a global appreciation for art, literature, and cultural unity.
