KIIT School of Law repeats history, wins 37th BCI Moot Court Competition

Bhubaneswar, November 20, 2024 (TBB Bureau): KIIT School of Law has once again demonstrated its academic and legal prowess by securing the top spot in the prestigious 37th Bar Council of India (BCI) National All India Inter-University Moot Court Competition. The event was held from November 15 to 17, at Karnavati University in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. KIIT emerged victorious, earning a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh.

This remarkable achievement reinforces KIIT’s distinction as the first private institution to win this coveted title. Even more notable is that the school, founded in 2007, has now won the championship three times — a rare feat among law schools across the country, further solidifying its position as a leader in legal education.

The victory reflects the students’ dedication, hard work, and exceptional advocacy skills, supported by the unwavering guidance and mentorship of their faculty.

Expressing pride in the accomplishment, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT and KISS, lauded the students’ efforts and highlighted the significance of this achievement. “It is a matter of immense pride and glory for India, particularly for Odisha, to win the BCI Moot Court Competition three times,” he said.

Dr. Samanta congratulated the KIIT School of Law students and encouraged them to strive for even greater success. He expressed confidence that they would continue to set new benchmarks in the legal field in the years to come.
