JSPL observes 7th International Day of Yoga

The Angul Unit of Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL) on Monday observed the 7th International Day of Yoga with a Yoga Programme organised in virtual mode.

Hundreds of employees and their family members residing in and around the plant location attended this Yoga session, which was conducted by Yoga Guru Swami Satyabindu Saraswati at 5.30 AM today.

On this occasion, JSPL Chairman Naveen Jindal greeted everyone through various social platforms saying that Yoga has been an integral part of his life for more than two decades.  He urged everyone to embrace yoga for wellness.

Addressing the virtual programme, Angul Location Head and Executive Director Hridayeshwar Jha said, “Yoga is a boon for the society. Practicing Yoga has a tremendous positive impact on our physical and mental wellbeing. It is good that we have a dedicated Yoga Guru in our organisation who not only takes regular yoga classes throughout the year but also guides us to practice yoga perfectly”.

“Practicing such postures for at least one hour in a day on a regular basis will not only keep you healthy but also enhance your efficiency and productivity,” said the Yoga Guru Swami Satyabindu Saraswati.

JSPL President Damodar Mittal emphasized the importance of Yoga and advised the participants to practice it regularly.

Presenting the vote of thanks, Ravi Shankar, Head-HR&ES, expressed his gratitude to JSPL Chairman Naveen Jindal for engaging dedicated Yoga trainers in the JSPL unit. 

OP Jindal School, DAV-Savitri Jindal School and “Asha the Hope”, the Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Special Needs, run by JSPL Foundation  also observed the International Day of Yoga through virtual mode and encouraged the students and their parents to practice Yoga for a healthy life.
