NTPC Talcher Kaniha on Tuesday inaugurated a 500KW Solar Rooftop project.
NTPC Talcher Kaniha Executive Director K Srinivasa Rao inaugurated the 500-Kilowatt project installed on the rooftops of various buildings at NTPC Kaniha.
Around 1570 solar panels have been installed across 5000 sq meters of roof top area, which are set to generate 7.66 lakh units of electricity per annum.
Rao commented on the importance of renewable energy and NTPC Kaniha’s resolve to further the adoption of renewable energy models like solar energy.
He also appreciated the team that undertook the task of Solar Rooftop project, headed by Rajiv Agarwal and his team consisting Prasanta Keshari Pradhan, Sangram Keshari Jena and Guruswami Sahoo.
GM(O&M) Vijay Goel, GM(Project) Rajendranath Das, GM (Maintenance) HN Chakraborty, GM (Operations) Murali Krishna, GM(HR) Prem Chand and other senior officials were also present on the occasion.
