Aditya Aluminium, Lapanga in collaboration with Blood Bank, Sambalpur organised a mega blood donation camp on Sunday. A total of 260 units of blood was collected during the camp.
The camp was inaugurated by Aditya Aluminium Lapanga Vice President & Unit Head (HR) Dr. Vivekanand Mishra, Head (CSR) Sweta Upadhayay and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ranjan Lenka.
Aditya Aluminium employees and people of the peripheral village came forward to donate blood voluntarily.
Aditya Aluminium, Lapanga Head (FRP) Project PVK Krishnan and Joint President & Head (CPP) Ghanshyam Parida were among the senior officials of the company who donated blood.
Every individual blood donor was presented with a Certificate of Recognition and a badge saying “Proud Donor”. Thus, Aditya Aluminium supported a great social cause today by successfully conducting the blood donation camp.
Keeping in view the shortage of blood in the blood banks of Sambalpur district, Aditya Aluminium has been organising blood donation camps periodically.
Blood is very precious and crucial for saving the lives of many patients, especially in an accident emergency. Every drop of blood is a ray of hope for a person in need. Blood donation is one of the most significant contributions that a person can make towards society. It is good for an adult person as it improves metabolism and helps in the process of formation of pure blood; and the donor can regenerate the blood within a few months.
