Amresh Kumar takes over as OHPC Managing Director

Amresh Kumar has taken over as the Managing Director of Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Ltd.(OHPC), a Gold rated State PSU on Thursday.

Prior to the new assignment, Kumar was serving as the Managing Director at Punatsangchhu-II Hydro power Authority, Bhutan. He was responsible for developing and executing the 1020 MW Hydroelectric Project in Inter-Government Mode. 

Kumar, who holds a Bachelor Degree in Engineering from Bhagalpur College of Engineering, Bihar, started his career as an Engineer at Chukha Transmission System in NHPC in the year 1985.

He brings with him 35-year long experience in planning, management and development of mega power projects across India and Bhutan.
