Acknowledging the significant contribution made by the automobile dealers’ community to Odisha’s development, Governor Professor Ganeshi Lal said, “The automobile dealer industry is a dynamic industry, and has been one of the core members of the economic ecosystem of the nation. The dealers are an important pillar of this mechanism.”
Inaugurating Vyapar Odisha meet, organised by the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) here on Saturday, Prof. Lal further said, “The dealer community in Odisha has been making an incredible contribution in terms of revenue and employment generation for the state.”
Conferences like these would help build confidence among the business community and pave the way for innovation in the region, he added.
The Governor further said that the Odisha government is committed to offering the best of its support to the business community at large, giving them ease of doing business in the region.
On the occasion of the 14th edition of Vyapar, FADA President Manish Raj Singhania said, “We are delighted to host the 14th Edition of Vyapar meet in Odisha with the theme ‘Wheels of Odisha’. Odisha has been an important market for the automotive industry. This was the first Vyapar meet in Odisha, and the type of response we have received is incredible. This gives us immense motivation to revisit the region with many such events to reenergize the retail automobile industry and keep our fraternity inspired and informed.”

The event featured the diverse range of informative sessions which include panel discussion, engaging sessions along with the valuable networking opportunities.
Vinkesh Gulati, Chairman of FADA Academy & Research, chaired the session, initiated the first session for the Vyapar Odisha with crystallising the various aspects of the business, offering valuable insights for the automotive industry, and visioning a direction for the automobile retail industry in the changing world where the consumer, OEM, and policymakers are all making the best of their efforts to remain relevant and sustain their existence.
A special session was organised under the leadership of Harish Kothari and Tarun Gandhi on Sparecare Solutions, one of the key concerns for the dealer community.
The Vyapar Odisha comprised several sessions in which various aspects of the auto retail industry, such as the future of mobility and the growing contribution by the auto retail industry, ways and means for keeping the business healthy were discussed. Besides, several sessions were held to keep the fraternity informed and geared for the new-age business transformation to digitization.
An exclusive session was addressed on the future of mobility, chaired by several industry stalwarts and thought leaders who shared their views, experience, expertise, challenges, and developing opportunities. The key dignitaries who chaired the session were Nalin Mehta, Business Coach at Expandus Business Coaching Private Limited; Rama Shanker Pandey, CEO of Tata Green Batteries; and Sandip Mukherjee, Head Rural & Lead Sales Operation at Hero MotoCorp, who provided invaluable perspectives on the evolving landscape of the automotive sector.
