BERHAMPUR, AUGUST 22, 2024 (TBB BUREAU): Bajaj Auto Limited, a global leader in two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturing, has officially launched its latest electric three-wheeler models at Sri Ram Auto in Berhampur. The unveiling, which took place on Thursday, featured Nikhil Trivedi, Regional Manager of Sales, and Murali Krishna Ainavalli, Regional Manager of Service, from Bajaj Auto Ltd., alongside representatives from Sri Ram Bajaj.
The new lineup includes the Bajaj Maxima Cargo E-Tec9.0 and E-Tec12.0 for cargo transportation, and the Bajaj RE E-Tec 9.0 for passenger services. These state-of-the-art electric vehicles have been meticulously designed and developed at Bajaj’s world-class R&D center and are manufactured at the company’s advanced plant in Waluj.
The electric three-wheelers are engineered for superior performance, featuring high load-carrying capacity, impressive gradeability, and durability. Each vehicle is equipped with an advanced IP67-rated Li-ion battery, a two-speed automatic transmission, and a Permanent Magnet Synchronous (PMS) motor for optimal efficiency. The batteries support charging from a standard 16-amp, 220V outlet and come with an onboard charger, eliminating the need for a separate heavy charger.
In addition, the vehicles are fitted with large tubeless radial tyres that enhance driving comfort and ease of repair. Constructed with a robust metal body and CV shaft, the Bajaj electric three-wheelers promise long-term durability and reduced maintenance costs.
Bajaj Auto also highlights its commitment to customer service with a comprehensive warranty and round-the-clock roadside assistance provided through its extensive service network.
Commenting on the launch, Nikhil Trivedi, Regional Manager of Sales, Bajaj Auto Ltd., said: “We are thrilled to introduce our new electric three-wheelers to the Berhampur market. Our customers’ trust and support have been the cornerstone of our success. These vehicles embody our dedication to safety, reliability, and high performance, with a strong focus on range, load-carrying capability, and gradeability.”
