Centurion University students excel in Regional Skill Competition

Centurion University is one of the first Skill Universities of India. With meticulously chosen skill based academics, its students are excelling to zenith. One of such examples is the constant progress of the students towards the World Skill Competition to be held at Shanghai in 2022.

Eight groups of students who had qualified the Odisha Skill (state level) Competition, participated in the Regional Skill Competition (East) at Patna from 21 to 23 October 2021. They competed with students from Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Andaman & Nicobar and North Eastern states.

The result of the Regional Skill Competition (East) was announced on 23rd October. J. Lavanya, a paramedic student, has topped in the trade of healthcare bagging a gold medal. Similarly, Hritik Patra, a student of Mechanical Engineering bagged gold medal in the area of Joinery (Wood works). A new and sophisticated area of 3D game art was mastered by Saurav Dhali, a Computer Science and Engineering student bagging a silver medal. Satya Ranjan Mohanty bagged silver in CNC turning. Similarly, two groups – one group comprising Pranab and Srinibas, and the other group comprising Abhigyan and Rohan got qualified along with Chinmaya of Cloud Computing.

All these students will compete in India Skill (National level) Competition, the date of which is yet to be announced. The students owe their success to the state-of-the-art infrastructure and qualified pool of skilled professionals at Centurion University as their guide and mentor. The University encourages all of its students to participate in such competitions and extends its support.
