CII EXCON to help India become 2nd largest construction equipment market in world by 2030

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized a road show here on Thursday to announce EXCON 2023 – South Asia’s largest construction equipment exhibition organized by the CII – scheduled to be held in Bengaluru from December 12 to 16 this year. EXCON is poised to propel India to become the second largest and fastest growing construction equipment market in the world by 2030, said the speakers at the road show.

The 5-day event, to be hosted by the Karnataka Government, is expected to attract over 1200 exhibitors from India and abroad including countries like the USA, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, the UAE, South Korea, Singapore, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Romania and Czech Republic; and over 80,000 business visitors from across the globe.

Today’s road show witnessed the participation of industry leaders, senior government officials and stakeholders from the infrastructure and construction equipment sector.

Speaking on the occasion, Schwing Stetter (India) Pvt Ltd. Managing Director & EXCON 2023 Steering Committee Member Sakthi Kumar VG said, “We are thrilled to introduce the 12th edition of EXCON, embracing the theme, ‘Building India’s Tomorrow.’ This theme encompasses the fundamental pillars of Technology, Globalization, Sustainability, and Inclusivity.
