A fire mock drill was conducted by the CISF Fire Wing of Paradip Port Trust (PPT) in coordination with Safety professionals of PPT under the guidance of M Biswal, Commandant, CISF. All the fire tenders were deployed for the purpose.
RN Panigrahi and PK Kar were the observers from the PPT side. PPT Deputy Chairman AK Bose, all HODs and employees witnessed the mock drill.
At the end of the drill, Deputy Commandant, Fire, Dhyan Singh spoke about various methods adopted by the Fire wing team to combat the fire and evacuate the victims.
Panigrahi lauded the team for their skill, timely efforts and coordination to combat the fire and pointed out the shortcomings observed during the drill for further improvement.
Lauding the team for their good efforts, CISF Commandant Biswal urged them to carry out more such types of mock drills without prior information. Such mock drills would be carried out in PPT Hospital too, he added.
The PPT Deputy Chairman congratulated the CISF team and Safety personnel for their exemplary work and assured them that the shortcomings would be overcome before the next mock drill.
